Altamont - Mr. Jack William Pickett, 68, passed away at his home Monday February 11, 2013. He had served in the Tennessee National Guard and was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Irene Johnson Pickett; brother, Mack Pickett. He is survived by his sisters, Peggy (David) Palmer, Della (Willie) Smith, Doris (Leonard) Tidwell, Sue (Charles) Taylor, Mary (Roy) Nunley and Debbie Pickett; brothers, Tom (Thelma), Joe and Ralph (Melissa) Pickett; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Bonnie Oaks Cemetery with Minister Tony King officiating. Arrangements by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee www.laynefuneralhome.com
