Cumberland Heights - Mrs. Wentzie Mildred Stearns, 96, passed away peacefully Saturday February 23, 2013. She was was a member of the Hinsdale, IL Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was born in Calhoun Georgia on March 28, 1916 to the late Joseph Marion Hall and Exie Lovie Dobson Hall who preceded her in death along with her husband, Hugh Robert Stearns Jr.; sisters, Gladys Morehead and Louise Silver. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Charles) Bishop, Cumberland Heights and Cheryl (Gordon) Adams, Bishop, CA; grandchildren, Kelly L. Mapes and Wendy G. O'Rafferty; 5 great grandchildren. Mrs. Stearns will be cremated and her ashes buried beside her husband in the Collegedale Memorial Park. Arrangements By: Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee www.laynefuneralhome.com
