Chapmansboro, Tennessee - Mr. James Lloyd Pickett, Sr. 69, passed away Friday March 1, 2013 in a Ashland City, Tennessee hospital. He was a US Navy veteran. He was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee on December 13, 1943 to John Bert Pickett and Jeanetta E. Ward Pickett Couch who preceded him in death along with his sons, Samuel, Billy and James Pickett, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Debra Allen Pickett; daughters, Melissa (Tony) Gilliam, Wendy (Jack Watts) Woodside and Christina (Bryan) West; son, James (Shannon) Sanders; sister, Cathy Haley; brothers, John Pickett; 10 grandchildren, Robin, Dustin, Jamie, Keisha, Misty, Eric, Austin, Andrew, Gabriel and Joshua; 5 great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Karma, Bradley, Dominic and Alexander.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at the Bethel Freewell Baptist Church, 2400 Mosley Ferry Road, Ashland City, Tennessee with Pastor Barry Raper officiating with burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
Visitation: 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer Tennessee and 1:00 PM until the time of service at the Church on Sunday.
