McMinnville, Tennessee – Mr. John Dale Anderson, 71, passed away Sunday February 7, 2021 at the Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was born in Bon-Air, Tennessee on March 26, 1949 to John Anderson and Louise Hodge Anderson who preceded him in death along with his grandparents,
Jim and Maggie Hodge, John Milton Anderson and Martha Austin Anderson of White County; son, John Brian Anderson; brother, Denny Carol Prater; sister, Andrea Prater and sister-in-law, Shirley Wanamaker; father-in-law, Vernon Fults; mother-in-law, Dorothy Jean Fults.
He lived in McMinnville with his wife and children for the last 40 plus years. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War in 1967-1969 with the 1st Aviation Brigade 7th of the 17th Air Calv. Recon. He was a member of the Covenant Fellowship Church. He liked hunting, fishing, playing pool and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Fults Anderson; daughter, Sandy Jennings; son, Travis (Beth) Anderson; grandchildren, Lexie Wood, Hayden Jennings, Kane Wright, Kade and Keera Anderson; great grandson, Atticus Robinson; sisters, Connie (Albert) Marsh, Sharon Wilkey; sister-in-law, Norma Fults (Larry Myers); several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Dean Northcutt officiating with burial to follow in the Fults Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
