Beersheba Springs - Rebecca Faye Norris, 89, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, October 17, 2010. She was born in Beersheba Springs on February 13, 1921 to James and Vivian Brown Smartt who preceded her in death along with her husband, Eugene Norris; daughter, Earlene Sweeton; grandson, Houston King; great-granddaughter, Hannah Norris; sister, Marie Scott; brothers, Aubrey, Carl and Sidney Smartt. She was a member of Cumberland Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Melba McGee and Linda King; son, Bob (Teresa) Norris; son-in-law, Jackie Sweeton; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with jay Richardson and Bobby "Beaver" King officiating with burial to follow in the Walker Cemetery. Visitation after 6:00 Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, TN.
