Coalmont - Mrs. Lucy Nellene Brown Rogers, 70, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 20, 2010. She was born in Coalmont on March 11, 1940 to Burton and Nellie Frederick Brown who preceded her in death along with her daughter, Elvie Jean Rogers; sisters, Mildred Meeks and Anna Belle Brown; brothers, Howard, Leon and Clarence Brown. She was a member of the Coalmont United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Gene Rogers; son, Larry (Brenda) Rogers; daughters, Karen (Larry) Davis and Christie (Jamie) Sweeton; sisters, Jean (Jr) Church and Susie Mae Childers; brothers, James (Lillian), Lewis (Lena Mae) and Duke (Louise) Brown; grandchildren, Daniel (Lisa) Crabtree, Jill (Tristan) Witt, DeRon and Brady Meeks, Madison and Griffyn Rogers, Bailee, Karlie and Jaxon Sweeton; great-grandchildren, Julianna and Trinidy Witt, Kasadee Crabtree; several nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Clayton Jones and John Potts officiating with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery. Visitation: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
