Whitwell - Melissa Ann Jackson, 39, of the Griffiths Creek Community, died on Wednesday, November 03, 2010 in a automobile accident. She was born in Palmer on May 18, 1971. She was preceded in death by her sister, Christy Elaine James. She is survived by her husband, David N. "Jody" Jackson; parents, Randal and Claudia "Sissy" James; son, Justin Blake Cookston; daughter, Christy Fayeth Jackson; step-daughters, Cindy and Wanda Jackson; step-sons, Barry (Brandy) Cookston and Jesse Jackson; brothers, Dewayne and Tommy James; step-grandchildren, Tyler, Sierra, Sienna and Braden Jackson, Cody and Clay Farris. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Larry Campbell and Ronnie Cooksoton officiating. Interment: Palmer City Cemetery. Visitation: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
