Henderson - J. Edward Norris, 73, passed away November 22, 2010 at his home. He was a US Army Veteran and attended Sanford Hill Baptist Church. He was born in Beersheba Spring to Clarence and Charity Whitman Norris who preceded him in death along with his son, Faron Norris. He is survived by his wife, Diana Proll Norris; sons, Brian and Liddell (Brenda) Norris, McMinnville, Ben (Kim) Norris, Milan; daughter, Michelle Childs; step-daughters, Dorene (David) Watson, Murfreesboro and Denise (Charlie) Murray, Rathdrum, Idaho; brother, Eston (Reba) Norris, Crossville; sisters, Ethel (Steve) Camp, Altamont and Edith (the late Kelley) Martin, Murfreesboro; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Visitation: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, TN.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis, Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center @ www.vicc.org\about\help\ in Nashville or Sanford Hill Baptist Church for bibles in Henderson, TN.
