Dunlap - Rev. James Linton Roberts, 92, passed away Friday, June 03, 2011 at his home. He was born in Palmer on May 03, 1919 to Henry and Oda James Roberts who preceded him in death along with his wife of 67 years, Mabel Jane Coffelt Roberts; daughter, Martha Jane Roberts Ross; granddaughter, Tammy Roberts Dent; sisters, Agnes Coffelt Roberts, Kathleen Jones and Mara Lee Caldwell; brother, Dillard Roberts. He is survived by his daughters, Mary (Clayton) McCarver and Judy Roberts; sons, Harold (Julia), Danny L. (Janie), Glenn (Terri) and Waymon (Carol) Roberts; sisters, Nancy (Earl) Rigsby, Joyce (Clayton) Hargis and Mary Lou (Arthur) Creighton; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Larry Campbell and Bro. Jessie Lockhart officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM Saturday. Arrangements by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN
