Palmer - Jerry R. "Buck" Layne, 75, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at his home. He was born in Palmer on June 27, 1935 to Tucker and Myrtle Tate Layne who preceded him in death along with his brother, James "Dobe" Layne; sister, Clara (Alvin) Davis; step-son, Paul (Lola) Summers. He is survived by his wife, Edna Layne; son, Steve (Lisa) Layne; sister, Sue (Mutt) Tate; step-daughter, Joyce (Martin) Harmon; step-sons, Joe D. (Rolanda) Summers and Stanley (Carol) Summers; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. John Potts officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
