Obituary of James Garland Williams

McMinnville - James Garland Williams, 66, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011. He was retired from Muscle Shoals Mineral Company and a member of the Gruetli Church of God and attended the North Hills Church of God of Prophecy. He was born in Colbert County, AL on September 11, 1944 to the late James and Dollie Hamm Williams. He was preceded in death along with his father, a son, Stephen Williams; brother, Eugene Williams. He is survived by his wife, Faye Bonner Williams; daughters, Charlotte (Harold) Green and Angie (Greg) Jones; son, Nathan Williams; step-children, David (Brenda) and Dustin (Melinda) King, Darla (Nick) Creighton, Donna Wilson and Dianna Turner; brother, Bobby Williams; sisters, Marla (Jack) Cannon, Nancy (Floyd) Richardson, Faye (Kenneth) Counts, Martha (Charles) Spiegle, Verna (Mitch) Hopkins; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Willard Griffith and Michael Harris officiating with burial to follow in the Cagle-Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation: after 4:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
