ALTAMONT - Mrs. Nettie E. Lockhart, 86, passed away Tuesday morning, August 28, 2012 at the home of her sister in Altamont. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Altamont. She was born on August 26, 1926 to Ame and Sallie Givens Dickerson who preceded her in death along with her husband, George Allen "Bunk" Lockhart; brothers, Henry and Billy P. Dickerson; sisters, Billie Jean Dickerson, Millie Stone, Nell Gattis and Marzie Childers. She is survived by her sons, Allen (Pat) Lockhart of Okolona, MS and Bryan (Susan) Lockhart of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Greg Lockhart of Okolona, MS, Andy (Lacey) Lockhart of Amory, MS, Jonathan (Amanda) Lockhart of Altamont, TN and Jamie (Jennifer)Lockhart of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Sidney Kate, Palmer Allen, Thomas Andrew and Marion Elizabeth Lockhart; brother, John (Thelma) Dickerson; sisters, Marie Manning, Frieda McKnight and Marguerite Childers. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Joe Gray and Charles Childers officiating with burial to follow in the Altamont Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.
