Obituary of Charles Rex Presto

Dunlap - Mr. Charles Rex "Jim" Presto, 65, died Friday morning at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Spangler, PA on March 2, 1947 to Charles Rex Presto Sr. and Della Patterson Presto who preceded him death along with his father-in-law, Ralph Layman. At the age of 6 His family moved to Painsville, Ohio. He and his wife ran Jim's Garage in Dunlap for 30 plus years. He was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Layman Presto; sons, Jeff Presto and Trent Burtrum; daughters, Tammi Presto Hurd and Sheri Presto Reed; sisters Susan (Joe) Salgado and Lori (Bernie) Long; grandchildren, Brett, Sam, Shelby, Madison, Wyatt and Brandon; mother-in-law, Arrietta Layman; a host of other loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and friends. Jim was a wonderful and caring husband, dad and Pa and will be sadly missed by his family. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday in the Layne funeral home chapel at Palmer with burial to follow in the Mansfield Cemetery with military honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
