Obituary of Douglas Andrew Floyd

 Whitwell, Tennessee – Mr. Douglas Andrew Floyd Sr., 47, passed away Thursday July 30, 2020 from injuries he received in a automobile accident.  He was born in Elyria, Ohio on March 20, 1973 to Hugh Ellis Floyd and Virgie Virgina Ramsey Floyd who preceded him in death.

 

He was employed at Nissan Motor Company and attended the Mount Etta Freewill Baptist Church.  He served on the Ohio Army National Guard.

 

He is survived by his wife, Dana Henderson Floyd; sons, Doug  Jr. (Naudia), Connor, Jesse, Andrew and Alex Floyd; daughter, Cierra (Tyler) Trussell; sisters, Karen (Bill) Slatton and Marilyn Floyd; grandchildren, Greyson, Kayson, Asher and Lane; nephews, Jeff (Becky) and Jason Slatton.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Faron Crisp officiating with burial to follow in the Griffiths Creek Cemetery.  Visitation: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
