Obituary of Jerry Donald Yokley

 Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mr. Jerry Donald Yokley, 81, passed away Friday September 25, 2020 at his home.  He was born in Sewanee, Tennessee on February 1, 1939 to Herbert Lee Yokley and Betty May Taylor Yokley who preceded him in death along with his wife, Virginia Fay Cleek Yokley; son, Jerry Wayne Yokley; brothers, Claude, Buford and Ken Yokley; sister, Hazel McDowell.

 

He was a member of the the Iron Workers Union Local 704, Chattanooga, TN and attended the Gum Springs Methodist Church.

 

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Donald) Hickey and Stephanie (Gene) Cantrell; brother, Raymond Yokley; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Ernest Lockhart and Jacob Anderson officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery.  Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
