Obituary of Dot Mae Worley

Whitwell, Tennessee – Mrs. Dorothy Mae “Dot” Worley, 83, of the Griffiths Creek Community passed away Monday October 12, 2020 at the Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga.  She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on May 22, 1937 to Harley Layne and Roxie Graham Layne who preceded her in death along with her sons, Michael David and Timmy Dwaine Worley; brothers, Hershel, Stanley, Charles, Paul and Jeff Layne.

She attended the Palmer First Church of the Nazarene. 

She is survived by her husband Jim Worley; sons, Jimmy Derriel (Janice) Worley and Tony Dale (Wendy) Worley; sister, Sue (Stanley) Coppinger; brothers, Leon and Earl (Vikki) Layne; grandchildren, Latosha, Christan, Jimmy Derriel, Micah and Tony Reagan Worley; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Griffiths Creek Cemetery. Visitation 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
