Obituary of Reba Jane Sweeton

Beersheba Springs, Tennessee – Mrs. Reba Jane Sweeton, 75, passed away Friday October 16, 2020 at the Unity Medical Center in Manchester, Tennessee. She was born in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee on February 17, 1945 to Aubrey Alfred Smartt and Annie Lee Richardson Smartt who preceded her in death along with her brothers, Paul David and James Alfred Smartt. 

 

She attended the Cumberland Baptist Church at Beersheba Springs.

 

She is survived by her husband, James Avery Sweeton, Sr., sons, James Ernest “Tinker” (Melissa) Sweeton, James Avery Sweeton Jr. and Jeffery Alan (Rita) Sweeton; daughters, Janet Lucy (Lynn) Scott and Jacqueline (James Jones) Fults; 15 grandchildren;10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Wayne Norris officiating with burial to follow in the Walker Cemetery.  Visitation 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
