Obituary of Christeen Birdwell

PALMER - Mrs. Ellen Christeen Birdwell, 83, passed away, Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at her home. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church. She was born on November 12, 1936 to Ezekiel Pinck "E.P." and Birdie Lucinda Elizabeth Hyde Sawyer who preceded her in death along with her loving husband of 47 years, Teddy Donald "Don" Birdwell; son, Brian Kent Birdwell; brother, Edward Dee Sawyer and infant sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Ron) Peardon; Keisa Birdwell (Tim) Schroeder and Shannon (Dana) Crabtree; sisters, Roma Day, Faye (Ted) Williams, Alene Crisp and Pat (Rick) Irons; grandchildren, Alisha, Christa, Caitlyn, Kellyn and Jaidyn; several loving nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and large extended family.  

Funeral services will be 2:00 Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Matthew Meeks officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery.

 

Family will receive visitors 1:00 PM time of service Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee

 

Family is requesting that visitors wear facial masks.
