Obituary of Herschel Lee Finch

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mr. Herschel Lee Finch III, 63, passed away unexpectedly Saturday December 26, 2020 at the STRHS-Sewanee Hospital.  He was born in Altamont, Tennessee on April 8, 1957.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Herschel Lee Finch Jr.

 

He worked for Larry Finch’s Fish Market in Florida for several years and later work for the Jacksonville Community College.

 

He is survived by his mother, Jeanetta Tate Finch; wife, Maria Finch; sons, Ross Edward Davis and Herschel Lee Finch IV; step son, Kenneth Davis; daughter Diana K. Hudson; step daughter, Jean Anna Jacob; brother, John W. Finch; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Bobby Winton and Jonathon Graham officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.  Visitation: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
