Obituary of Frieda Lucille McKnight

Altamont, Tennessee – Mrs. Frieda Lucille McKnight, 96, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Nursing Home in Monteagle, Tennessee. She was born in Altamont, Tennessee on March 26, 1924 to Ame and Sallie Givens Dickerson who preceded her in death along with her husband, Grady H. McKnight; brothers, Henry and Billy P. Dickerson; sisters, Billie Jean Dickerson, Millie Stone, Nell Gattis, Marzie Childers, Nettie Lockhart, June Marie Manning and Marguerite Childers.

She was a member of the Church of Christ at Altamont.

She is survived by her brother, John (Thelma) Dickerson; a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Willie and Gary Childers officiating with burial to follow in the Altamont Cemetery. Visitation 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.  www.laynefuneralhome.com
