Obituary of Woodrow Coleman Bess

Altamont, TN- Mr. Woodrow Coleman Bess, age 76, passed away Tuesday January 19, 2021 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester.  Woodrow was born in Altamont on July 1, 1944 to the late Clifford and Gladys Bess.  He was a nursery worker and loved the outdoors.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; Deloria and Douglas Bess.

He is survived by his brother Clayton Bess and sister Jeweldean Sweeton. Nieces, nephews, and extended family also survives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 23, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Layne Altamont Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Altamont Cemetery. Visitation hours are Friday 4:00 to 8:00pm and Saturday 11:00am till time of service.
