Obituary of William Ray Campbell

Coalmont, Tennessee – Mr. William Ray “Pudgy” Campbell, 73, passed away Thursday February 18, 2021 at the Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on May 10, 1947 to Brosie and Lillian Nunley Campbell who preceded him in death along with his sister, Shirley Seagroves; brothers, Earl, Steve and Vance Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Caldwell Campbell; sons, Billy (Kyra) Campbell, Howard Campbell and Brandon (Shayna) Meeks; daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Jones and Wendy Meeks; brother, Rev. Larry (Beverly) Campbell; grandchildren, Willow, Evra, Alora Grace, Destiny, Dalton, Kaylee, Tyler, Sasha, Amber, Kirsten and Lilian Rose "Lilly"; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Larry Campbell and Robert Harris officiating with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
