Obituary of Samuel Smith

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mr. Samuel Smith, 76, passed away Wednesday March 31, 2021 at his home with his family at his bedside.  He was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee on July 10, 1944 to Elvin and Beulah Robinson Smith who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Elmer D., Herbert C., Bobby G., Alfred R., Troy Lee, Hal Vonnie, and Freddie E. Smith; sisters, Martha Caldwell, Eulia Mae Bess, Aline Hargis, Mary K. Burnette, Edna Lee Brown and Betty Ruth Mathis; granddaughter, Trista F. McDaris.

 

He was retired from Uniroyal Chemical.

 

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Faye Anderson; sister, Loise Marie Lance, Dalton, GA; daughter, Tammy (Dewayne) Walker; son, Rickey (Treva) Smith; grandchildren, Marisa, Neka, Kesha, Ariya and Skyler; great grandchildren, Star, Kaylee, Braxton. Kinsley, Kasen, Jax and Nevaeh; several nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at the Fall Creek Cemetery with Minster Raymond Borne officating.
