Obituary of Melissa Carol Norris

Beersheba Springs, Tennessee – Mrs. Melissa Carol Norris, 56, passed away Thursday June 17, 2021 at her home.  She was born in McMinnville, Tennessee on July 22, 1964.

She was preceded in death by her father Melvin Prater, husband, Kevin Norris.

She is survived by her mother, Virginia Henderson Beaty; companion, Anthony King; son, Kenny (Amber) Prater; daughter, Christy (Derrick) Smartt; stepdaughter, Sasha (Jon) Orange; sister, Marilyn Lundmark; brothers, Keith (Tennille) Beaty and Lavon Prater; grandchildren, Paige and Tyler Smartt, Skylar and Kelden Prater; great grandchild, Psalms Vanzant.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at the Walker Cemetery with Minister Tyler McCullough officiating.

Visitation 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday and after 8:00 AM Sunday till time of service at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.
