Obituary of Celende Black

Whitwell, Tennessee – Mrs. Celende Black, 57, passed away Wednesday June 30, 2021, at Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  She was born in Provo, Utah on July 25, 1963, to Jon Monson Taylor and Janice Jane Tolman Taylor who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Loyd Black; stepmother, Jo Ann E. Taylor, Sandy, Utah; daughters, Celende C. (Tony) Doss, Gruetli-Laager and Trina R. Black, Rossville, GA; son, Charlie Wayne (Shelby) Black, McMinnville, TN; brother, Jonathan (April) Taylor, Tooele, UT; half-brother, Kristopher J. Taylor, San Francisco, CA; step brothers, John (Linda) Curtis, Boise, Idaho, Curt (Susan) Curtis, Syracuse, UT and Joal Curtis, Boise, Idaho; step sisters, Cari (Mac) McClellan, Sandy, UT and Robyn (Troy) Curtis, Taylorsville, UT; grandchildren, Taylor, Anna, Allen, Gabby, Connor, Declan, and Willow; great grandson, Jacob Allen Woodlee; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Fred Friday officiating.
