Obituary of Dale Grimes
Harrison, Tennessee – Mr. Robert Dale Grimes, 65, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at his home. He was born in Whitwell, Tennessee on January 7, 1956 to James Edward Grimes and Beatrice LeCroy Grimes who preceded him in death along with his brother, James Allen Grimes.
He was a native of Laager, Tennessee. He was a retired welder and member of the Rossville Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Marcella Jordan Grimes; son, Jeffery (Allison) Seay; daughter, Tonya (Shane) Sullivan; sister, Sherry Grimes (Doug) Williams; grandchildren, Schyler (Blake Strauss) Seay, Kolby and Kelsy Sullivan, Benjamin and Hannah Seay; great grandson, Wyatt Strauss; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM CDT Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Jack James officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery.
Visitation: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday and 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
