Obituary of Anna Nell Underhill

Altamont, Tennessee – Mrs. Anna Nell Underhill, 75, passed away Sunday August 22, 2021 at the Unity Medical Center in Manchester, Tennessee after a battle with covid. She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on January 19, 1946 to Werner and Annie Layne Layman who preceded her in death along with her sisters, Jeanetta Scroggins, Odell Childers and Geneva Conry; brothers, Ralph, Hurl, Gene and Everett Layman.

 

She is survived by her sons, Jeff Underhill, Darin (Angie) Underhill and Bryan Underhill; daughter, Ginger (Michael) Forsyth; brother, Millard (Betty) Layman; sisters, Helen Sanders Borne and Nanetta (Ernie) Turner; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Wayne Norris and Mack Hampton officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

 

Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
