McMinnville, Tennessee – Mr. Wendell Charles Floyd, 46, went home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2021.  He was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on December 31, 1974.  Wendell had such a love and talent of fixing up old cars and trucks and a loving and caring heart for life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Jessie Morrison Jr., Chuck Floyd and Myrtle Chapman; great niece, Saylor Smartt.

He is survived by his wife, Serena Martin Floyd; parents, Charles and Betty Floyd, Whitwell, TN; sisters, Donna (Ronnie) Doss and Lisa (Steve) Layne, Palmer, TN, twin sister, Brenda (Denny) Rollins, Whitwell, TN; brother, Gary Floyd, Whitwell; nieces and nephews, Derrick Layne, Allsion Tate, Bretney Smartt, Kelsey Floyd, Andrew and Leah Rollins; great nieces and nephews, Madison and Emma Layne, Ella Tate and Gavin Smartt; father and mother in law, Robert and Charlene Martin; step-children, Dillon and Kaitlin Webb; step-grandson, Jonah Webb; brothers and sisters-in-law, Debbie and Terry Burgess, Faye Redmon, Russel and Wanda Mullican; special friends, Dewey and Molly; a host of family and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday at the Blue’s Hill Cemetery with Minister Brett Meeks officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Spencer, Tennessee.
