Obituary of Tammy Jeanice Magourik

Palmer, Tennessee – Ms. Tammy Jeanice Magourik, 59, passed away Tuesday December 14, 2021 at the Parkridge Medical Center from complications from COVID-19.  She was born in Dunlap, Tennessee on November 24, 1962.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Sue Thompson Magourik.

 

She worked at the Sequatchie Valley Headstart as a Teacher and later Director before her retirement.

 

She is survived by her companion, Alton King; son, Tyler (Rashell) King; grandchildren, Jackson and Jacob King; father, Ray Magourik; sisters, Teresa (Ronald) Smith, Tonya (Mike) Birdwell and Tabitha (Jody) Cavanaugh; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Mike Rigsby and Rick Ruehling officiating with burial to follow in the Boots Hill Magourik Family Cemetery on Bennie Camp Road at Cagle.

 

Visitation: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
