Obituary of Willene Knowlan

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mrs. Willene Knowlan, 76, passed away Thursday December 23, 2021 at her home with her family at her bedside.  She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on November 28, 1945 to William Bivens and Arlene Brown Bivens who preceded her in death along with her brothers, Charles and Don Bivens.

 

She was a member of the Bivens Chapel Church and had been a cook at Browns Dairy Bar for over 20 years before her retirement.

 

She is survived by her husband, Preston Knowlan; son, Tobby Knowlan; daughter, Tammy (Ricky) Potter; brother, Mark Bivens; sisters, Alma Anderson, Joyce (Brad) Layne, Darlene Sanders and Mary Thomas; grandchildren, Brooklyn (Ryan Travis) and Ashton; several nieces and nephews

 

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Larry Campbell and Bruce Nunley officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

 

Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday and 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
