Obituary of Goldie Walsingham

Tracy City, Tennessee – Mrs. Goldie Marie Walsingham, 91, passed away Tuesday January 4, 2022 at the NHC Tullahoma Nursing Home.  She was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee on June 12, 1930 to Harn Bivens and Bessie Meeks Bivens who preceded her in death along with her husbands, Dillard Taylor and Thomas Walsingham; brothers, William, Marshall and Glenn Bivens; sisters, Mae Slatton, Equilla Shrum, Nadeth King, Alice Watson and Dorthy Griffith.

She attended the Victory Baptist Church in Jasper, Tennessee before her health declined.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha Wallace, Tracy City; sons, Bruce (Lori) Taylor, Palestine, Texas, Carl (Mary) Taylor, Tracy City, Thomas (Wanda) Walsingham and Roy (Ariel) Walsingham both of Tracy City; grandchildren, Cruzita, Nadine, Daniel, Travis, Wendy, Bradley, Rhonda, Timothy, Scott, Brandi, Donovon and Oakley; great grandchildren, O’ceana, Jennifer, Isabella, Isabel, Dominic, Josie, Taylor, Tyler, Gracie, Lauren, Paris, Madison, Timothy Jr., Evan, Kyler, Jensen, Jared and Tyler; great great grandhchildren, Lawson and Matthew; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Kenneth Conway officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery.

Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
