Obituary of George Alvin Huntley Jr.

Beersheba Springs – Mr. George Alvin Huntley Jr., 83, passed away Friday March 11, 2022, at the Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.  He was born in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee on May 25, 1938, to George “Peck” Huntley and Ethelene King Huntley who preceded him in death along with his brother, Bobby Huntley; sons-in-law, Eddie McDaniel and Everett Richardson.

His is survived by his wife of 63 years  , Edith McGee Huntley; sons, David (Sissy) Huntley and Justin (Jessica) Huntley; daughters, Donna Richardson and Lisa (Donnie) Earls; brother, Kenny (Darlene) Huntley; sisters, Clara Nunley, Carolyn Doak and Mary (Lynnel) Wanamaker; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Wayne Norris and Jason Rymer officiating with burial to follow in the Fults Cemetery.

Visitation: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.
