Obituary of Anna Alvada Rymer

ALTAMONT, TN – Mrs. Anna Alvada Rymer, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 5, 2022. She loved worshipping her Savior at AirView Baptist Church where she had been a member for over sixty years. Her other loves were her family and friends. She especially enjoyed having the sawmill crew for lunch each day. Quilting was another one of her favorite things to do and she made sure each family member had a least one of her quilts. 

She was born August 13, 1930 in Cleveland, TN to Henry and Anna Messer Miller who preceded her in death along with her husband, Kenneth Rymer; daughter, Nora Patricia Rymer; grandson, Jim Bob Rymer; brother, Ralph Miller; sisters, Thelma Hooper, Lillard Stewart, Louetta McKenzie, Cecil Hampton, Opal Hixson, Dean Rymer and Evelyn Collins.

She is survived by her sons, Don, Steve (Linda), Ken (Kim) and Mark (Teresa) Rymer; sisters, Joyce Hobbs and Loyce Winton; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jason Rymer and Bro. Melvin Childers officiating with burial to follow in the AirView Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, TN
