Obituary of Margaret Ruth Caldwell

Coalmont, Tennessee – Mrs. Margaret Ruth Caldwell, 81 passed away Thursday August 4, 2022, at the STRHS-Winchester Hospital with her family at her bedside.  She was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on December 27, 1940, to Leon Burnett and Ella Sloan Burnett who preceded her in death along with her husband, Clarence Caldwell; son, Gerry Caldwell.

She was a loving mother and grandmother.  She loved spending time and caring for her son Darron, visits with her great grandson, Luke, having yard sales at her home, and her murder mystery shows and crime series. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Melisa) Caldwell, Darron Caldwell; daughter, Diana Hoffman; sister, Mildred Parolini, Belfast, TN; grandchildren, Ronnie, Donnie, Jeremy, Timmy, Heather (Andy) Malone and Robin (Johnny Slatton) Caldwell; 12 great grandchildren; 7 great great granchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will 1:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Clayton Jones with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery.

Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
