Obituary of Betty Louise Floyd

Whitwell, Tennessee – Mrs. Betty Louise Floyd, 82, passed away Thursday November 3, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family and faithful companion Odie.  She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on November 7, 1939, to Ben Morrison Jr. and Jessie Lee Tate Morrison who preceded her in death along with her son, Wendell Charles Floyd; great granddaughter, Saylor Smartt; sisters, Judy Morrison Kelly and Debbie Morrison; brothers, Bill, Lannie, Jim Bob and Danny Morrison.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 60 years, Charles Floyd of Whitwell; son, Gary Floyd, Whitwell; daughters, Donna Floyd (Ronnie) Doss, Palmer, Lisa Floyd (Steve) Layne, Palmer and Brenda Floyd (Denny) Rollins; grandchildren, Derrick (Sheena) Layne, Bretney (Danny) Smartt, Allsion (Jonathon) Tate, Kelsey Floyd, Andrew and Leah Rollins; daughter-in-law, Serena Floyd; brothers, Jack (Joyce) and Jeff “Rabbit” Morrison, Palmer; sisters, Laura Ellen Wilson, Illinois, Carol (Bobby) Stewart, Illinois, Susan Diane Layne, Jasper; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday November 5, 2022, in the funeral home chapel with Minister Dennis Rollins and Danny Chance officiating with burial to follow in the Griffiths Creek Cemetery.

Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
