Obituary of Thelma Mae Woodlee

Beersheba Springs, Tennessee – Mrs. Thelma Mae Woodlee, 91, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Altamont, Tennessee on April 9, 1931 to Herman McGee and Mae Fults McGee who preceded her in death along with her husband, Carroll Morris Woodlee Jr.; son, Kenneth Woodlee; brother, Waymon McGee; sisters, Willene Nelson and Evelyn Richardson.

Mrs. Thelma loved cooking Sunday dinner for all her family.  She was a devoted mother to her children.

She is survived by sons, Randall (Rebecca), Melvin (Sheila), Leslie (Paula), Rick (Sherry) and Steven (Mandy) Woodlee; daughter, Anita (Wayne) Myers; daughter-in-law, Paulette Woodlee; brothers, Loyd McGee and Alton McGee; sisters, Melba Huntley, Edith Huntley and Linda McGee; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Alton Scruggs officiating with burial to follow in the Fults Cemetery.

Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.
