Obituary of Lloyd Jones

Palmer, Tennessee – Mr. Lloyd “L.J.” Jones, 77, passed away Wednesday May 17, 2023, at the hospital in Sewanee, Tennessee.  He was born in West Helena, Arkansas on February 4, 1946, to Jack Jones and Margaret Simpson Jones Dishroon who preceded him in death along with his wife, Connie Keel Jones; daughter, Kathy Anderson; sisters, Linda Christian and Margaret Smith; brothers, Floyd and Larry Jones.

He was retired from Lodge Mfg. in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Robert) Turner; brothers, Roy Wayne (Loretta) Jones and Loyd Wayne Jones; sisters, Lola (Tim) Cox and Deana Farrell; grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson; Brandon (Martha) Anderson. Blake Scissom, Brittany (Johnny) Anderson, Katie (Brandon) Osborn and Ashley Turner; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral Home Chapel with Ministers, John Potts and Mike Rigsby officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee
