Gruetli-Laager – Mrs. Alyene Williams, 86, passed away Thursday May 5, 2016 at her home with her family at her bedside. She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on April 29, 1930 to Sam and Othelia Green Walker who preceded her in death along with her husband, James Edgar Williams; brothers, James, Horace and Forais Walker; sisters, Dortha Louise Walker and Mary Green Roberts.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Hank) Worley; son, Henry (Margaret) Williams; sisters, Opal Martin of Virginia and Eloise King of Palmer; grandchildren, Shane (Lindsay), Jamie (Toni) and Kevin Worley, Bryce Williams; great grandchildren, Harley, Megan Alyene, Amy, Dylan and Ciara; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Minister John Potts officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
