My memories of Monteagle will alway include loving memories of Mrs. Haley and porch visits at her house. My sincere sympathy to her family and especially to Marion who was my childhood friend. She was a great lady.

Our family has so many fond memories of Mary Ellen and her family sitting on her porch or the Mebane Cottage #101 porch.
My daughter Gwen remembers the kindness Mary Ellen extended in the way of many a cold beverage on hot summer afternoons as she worked the gate at MSSA.

It was such a pleasure to meet your mother...I am so happy she made it to 100...and I got to visit her on that day...she seemed like such a sweet lady...we will miss seeing her on our visits to see my mom (Jewel) and my aunt (Cat)...my thoughts and prayers are with your family...
