Obituary of Elizabeth Ruth Privett

 Palmer – Mrs. Elizabeth Ruth Privett, 77, passed away, Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  She was born in Sequatchie County near Palmer, Tennessee on August 12, 1940 to Hubert Henry and Gladys Davis Henry who preceded her in death along with her sister, Retha Jacks; infant brother and sister.

She was a member of the Palmer United Methodist Church and worked along side her husband in their Monument Business for over 30 years, Privett Monuments.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Stephen Privett; sons, David (Tina) Privett, Cleveland, TN. Randy (Thressa) Privett and Dewayne (Marsha) Privett both of Palmer; sisters, Betty (Austin) Patterson, Elberton, GA and Bonnie (Butch) Meeks, Palmer; brothers, Hobart (Willie Mae) Henry, Davenport, IA, Larry (Debbie) Henry, Palmer, and Jackie (Norma) Henry, Palmer, TN; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers John Kennedy and John Potts officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
