Obituary of Shirley Jeanette Green

 Palmer, Tennessee – Mrs. Shirley Jeanette Green, 87, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Thursday November 1, 2018 at Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga.  She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on July 27, 1931 to William Arthur Jones and Margaret Helenthal Jones who preceded her in death along with her husband James Frank Green; brother, William Jones.

She was a member of the Way of the Cross Baptist Church, Chickamauga, Georgia.

She is survived by her sons, James (Virginia) Green, Knoxville, Tennessee, Rodger (Lisa) Green, Chickamauga, GA, Chris (Samantha) Green, Chickamauga, GA and Dwight Green; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Tim Chastain officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
