Obituary of Edna Scott Layman

 Palmer, Tennessee – Mrs. Edna Scott Layman, 79, passed away, Tuesday November 6, 2018 at her home.  She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on December 8, 1938 to William Bryan Scott and Mary Daisy Howard Scott who preceded her in death along with her husband, Joe Ray Layman; brothers, Ernest and Ralph Scott; sisters, Betty Atha, Janie Phillips and Mary Louise White.

She had worked in factories in Chattanooga and Grundy County and was a farmers wife and a chicken grower.

She is survived by her brother, Vinson (Linda) Scott; sister, Christine (Willard) Perry; brother-in-law, Ezell Layman; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Riley Anderson officiating with burial to follow in the White Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
