Obituary of Benjamin Hade Rogers

 Palmer, Tennessee – Mr. Benjamin Hade Rogers Jr., 68, passed away unexpectedly Saturday November 24, 2018 at the Erlanger Sequatchie ER in Dunlap.  He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on June 17, 1950 to Benjamin Hade Rogers Sr. and Pauline Ward Rogers who preceded him in death along with his first wife, Geraldine Layne Rogers; sister, Teresa Tate; brother, Joel Rogers.

He was retired from Lodge Mfg. in South Pittsburg after 29 years of service.  He was a member of the Laager Independent Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia McHone Rogers; daughter, Angela and her husband Eric Green of Coalmont; son, Eric and his wife Sonya Rogers of Palmer; step-daughters, Melinda and her husband Scotty Sweeton and Lisa Kilgore; step-son, Alex and his wife Jaime Kilgore; sisters, Brenda and her husband Earl Grimes, Delia and her husband Bobby Sherman and Evelyn and her husband Jack Long; grandchildren, Ryan Green, Kayla and her husband Cody McGee; step-grandchildren, A’Kia and her husband Devan Meeks, Dray and his wife Samantha Sweeton, Ayla Hoy, Madison and Ayleea Kilgore, Bryan Nix and Shelby and her husband Bryon Shaw; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Matthew Meeks and Larry Campbell officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.  Visitation: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
