Obituary of Douglas Dewayne Layne

 Palmer, Tennessee – Mr. Douglas Dewayne Layne, 51, passed away unexpectedly Sunday December 23, 2018.  He was born in Whitwell, Tennessee on August 13, 1967.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Lynn Taylor Layne and his brother, David Michael Layne.

He was a carpenter working for TVA and a member of the Tri-State Carpenters and Joiners Union in Chattanooga.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Caldwell Layne; father, Scottie Douglas Layne and his wife Christine; daughters, Alisha (Tyler) Reed and Amber Layne (Tim Baker); step-son, Dakota Tucker; step-daugher, Dani Privett; sister, Donna (Clyde) Stoglin; grandchildren, Macon and Declan Reed, Kennadi Privett; father-in-law, Gene Caldwell; nieces, Ashley Stoglin, Amanda James and Maranda Hill; nephew, Aaron Stoglin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Joe Sanders officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer  Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
