Obituary of Mary Ellen Myers

Altamont, Tennessee – Mrs. Mary Ellen “Toodie” Myers, 86, died unexepectedly Wednesday January 2, 2019.  She was born in Altamont, Tennessee on October 17, 1932 to Odie Hobbs and Lydia Myers Hobbs who preceded her in death in addition to her husband, Vernon Myers; sister, Mildred Johnson; brothers, Delbert, Elmer, Billy and Earl “Shorty” Hobbs; daughters, Della Faye Wiley and Milla Mae Barrett; grandchildren, Brad Barrett and Tammy Williams.

She was a member of the Altamont Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Margie Ann Fults; sister, Ruth Johnson; grandchildren, Jeff and Dustin Barrett, Christy Smith, Zachary Fults, Miranda Lusk, Dexter and Serenity Wiley; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Micah Roberts officiating with burial to follow in the Little Johnny Myers Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
