Obituary of Newton Everett King

 McMinnville, Tennessee – Mr. Newton Everett “Elb” King, 66, passed away Sunday February 24, 2019 at his home in Hills Creek near Irving College.  He was born in McMinnville, Tennessee on April 17, 1952 to Newton King and Rosalee King Green who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Dewey and James King; sisters. Pasty Nelson and Lottie King.

He worked in nursery most of his life.

He is survived by his brother, Lonnie Joe (Jeanette) King; sisters, Isabel Wanamaker and Janie (Dennis) Hampton; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Kevin Pearsall, Ted Panter, Mr. & Mrs. Mike Grissom.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Ed Fults officiating with burial to follow at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek.  Visitation: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
