Obituary of David Jerome Johnson

 Altamont, Tennessee – Mr. David J. “Buckey” Johnson, 63, passed away Wednesday March 20, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Columbus, GA on August 6, 1955.  He was preceded in death by his father, Jarvis Johnson; sister, Carolyn Johnson.

He was a photographer and a member of Altamont Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Thelma P. Barrett Johnson; son, Jordan S. Johnson, Augusta, GA; brothers, Jarvis (Lois) Johnson, Altamont, Paul J. (Mary) Johnson, Ball Ground, GA and Jerry S. (Rina) Johnson, Flowery Branch, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Dal Barrett officiating with burial to follow in the Airview Cemetery.  Visitation: 12:00 Noon – 3:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
