Obituary of Kenneth Rymer

 Altamont, Tennessee – Mr. Kenneth Rymer, 87, passed away Sunday April 21, 2019 at his home with his family at his bedside.  He was born in Decatur, Tennessee on February 1, 1932 to Noah Christopher Rymer and Margaret Jane Howard Rymer who preceded him in death along with his infant daughter, Nori Patricia Rymer; infant brother, Fredrick Allison Rymer; sisters, Jewell Hill, Hazel Geren and Mildred Barrett; brother, Otis Taylor Rymer; grandson, Jim Bob Rymer.

He was a member of the AirView Baptist Church.  He was owner/operator of Rymer Brothers Sawmill and a farmer.  He loved to fish.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Alvada Miller Rymer; sons, Don “Butter” Rymer, Steve (Linda) Rymer, Ken (Kim) Rymer and Mark (Teresa) Rymer; twin sister, Kathryn McGinnis of Huntsville, AL; sister, Sue Lusk, Altamont; 9 grandchildren; 14, great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Melvin Childers and Jason Rymer officiating with burial to follow in the AirView Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.   www.laynefuneralhome.com
