Obituary of Patsy James Tate

 Beersheba Springs, Tennessee – Mrs. Patsy J. Tate, 74, passed away Friday August 16, 2019 at STRHS – Sewanee Hospital.  She was born in Grundy County in the Mount Olive Community near Tarlton on March 27, 1945 to James Henry Killian and Velma Leona Jennings Killian who preceded her in death along with her husband George Lloyd Tate; brother, David Slaughter.

She was a member of Cumberland Baptist Church.  Patsy was a Perennial Wildflower Wholesale Grower. 

She is survived by her sons, Clint (Maria) Tate and Scotty Tate; daughters, Renee Fults and Jeanine Forsyth; brother, Charles (Wanda) Killian; sisters, Wilma Wanamaker and Betty Smartt; grandchildren, Justin and Jonathan (Allie) Tate, Jason Dyer, Madison Fults, Brandon (Sydney) Price, Cody and Trent Forsyth; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Alton Scruggs and Dal Barrett officiating with burial to follow in the Schild-Tate Cemetery.  Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
