Palmer, Tennessee – Mr. Edward McHone, 69, passed away Tuesday September 3, 2019 at the Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga with his family at his bedside. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 23, 1949 to Billy McHone and Kathleene L. Slatton Hallman who preceded him in death in addition to his son, Eddie McHone.
He was retired from Tuftco at Palmer after his health declined. He also was a autobody repairman. He attended the Barker’s Cove Community Church. He was a US Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Campbell McHone; son, Thomas (April) McHone; sister, Patricia Rogers; step-children, Judy (Larry) Kilgore, Lynn (Paddle) Womack and Hardy and Jerry Cox; step-sisters, Lucy (Mac) Kilgore, Kathy (Anthony) Moore, Ida Lee (J.C.) Layne, Bouncer (Marsha) Floyd; grandchildren, Leann Long, Samantha, Thomas Jr. and Isaiah McHone; other loving step-grandchildren; loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Ronnie Partin and Jim Bob Morrison officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Military Honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
